Just saw actor Michael J. Pollard passed away, and lest you think he has nothing to do with models, well...:

I recall the Bonnie & Clyde-themed AMT kits, featuring boxes with simulated bullet holes, like so...:

...but were there any other clear tie-ins with actors and automotive model kits, where the actor (not the character they played) was named on the box?

Well, Cher's been in movies, so she's technically an actress, so the AMT Sonny & Cher Mustang qualifies.

And then there was Farah's Foxy Vette.

Mike Connors was mentioned on the side of the MPC Mannix roadster kit

Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole were mentioned on the front of the MPC Bearcats! Stutz kit

Farrah's Foxy Vette and the Travolta Fever Firebird come to mind.  Tied to the actor, not a particular role or movie.

The 1988 reissue of the Movin On Kenworth from AMT has Claude Akins and Frank Converse's names on it plus their picture and character names.

I find it odd though that the original issue from 1974 (of the Movin On kit, NOT of the Kenworth W925 kit itself) when the show was on the air does not, it just has the picture only.

As an aside, I would KILL for one of these.

That could possibly be built from the Police Van, Fire Van, Dirty Donny Van, A-Team Van kits, scratch build the nose, maybe source the wheels from the '53 Vette kit, ect.

Some named on box, some not, but pictures not on every issue. Airfix Bond Aston and Toyota Roadster (both 1/24 unlike Doyusha) had drawings but no pics, only name was Bond. Doyusha had Connery on it.
