This is a dream build of mine.  I was lucky to have been able to pick up a Scale Productions “Eleanor” transkit a few years ago.

I will be scratch building the Total Control front & rear suspension, that was used in the “hero car”.

That kit certainly looks the part. Looking forward to seeing what you'll do with this (and your other projects).

Hi Greg,

You're a local guy.  Send me a PM if you are going to the Automotive Model Builders March 2020 NNL Show in Burnaby.

Cheers,

Adam

I have been to a number of their shows over the years (Yay swap meet!), but have been pretty busy with work for the last few. Cuts into shows, cuts into building time.

I'll have to see. Lately, I have to live vicariously through the guys with bench time, and interesting projects like yourself ;).

Oh man would I love to have one of those trans-kits! I'm guessing they are not still available, and even so I probably couldn't afford one for a while, lol.

Correction,  his name is Greg Wann  and his Eleanor mold is spot on. Even comes with a few extras like, wheels, fuel cap, etc.    PM him for details & availability.  I have a few of his kits for future projects !

I saw a brief documentary on the this "Eleanor" .  If I recall correctly (11) cars were built - (5) were destroyed performing stunts in the film and (6) survived.  The "hero cars" are full builds being used for closeups during filming.

Beautiful photos. Thanks !

Modifying the rear axle to accommodate the pushrods.

I will be using the following Evergreen products to scratch build the rear clip weld assembly. The push rods are brass tubing from K&S Precision Metals.

Here is the Rocker Assembly. You will have to scratch build this or create your own assembly.

Still need to finish the coil-over shock installation.

The rear clip fits nice and snug, as I added mounting brackets to attach to the frame. This should look nice once painted blue
