I have been reading this post from start to finish.  The scratch building is amazing.  I was always wondering how I would do this for my build I'm doing.  This will make things way easier for me to accomplish.  Your work is impressive to say the least.

Thanks Chris.

Good to know you have found some information that might be helpful with your build. I need to get back to this one day and get it completed.

Since I've been absent much of the year, missed seeing this project.  I have 2 WIP stalled because I'm challenged by the suspension, this is great inspiration!

This project is a showcase of some amazing scratchbuilding techniques.

Your approach to doing the rollcage is brillant. The interior work is also great.

Hope you can figure out a solution to the problem will be very helpful for others.

Luke, Luke, Luke…. I completely missed this one. I joined the forum in mid 2020 so I never saw it. I will be going back and doing a thorough read from beginning to end. Very nice!!  Is this one in the “yard sale”?!

I’m so glad that this thread resurfaced, I just finished reading from start to… we’ll where you left off haha. There is so much useful information in here, I love your ability to think outside the box and create useful soloutions, ie your CAD templates and using clear acetate as a template. Your build has opened my eyes to new building techniques and I have to say I love the articulated hand pointing out the details. The mini engine stand/rotisserie is an absolute marvel.
well done mate!

Much approval for your careful, clean, layout and construction techniques.

Your reference to a "poor man's milling machine" is a great reminder that it's not necessary to have a complete miniature machine shop to produce outstanding work.

Some fine stuff going on here.

EDIT: Just like building a real car from the ground up...only smaller.    B)

Amazing scratch building skills!  Your templating and measurement transferring processes are inventive and effective. This is a very interesting project which I will be paying attention to from here forward.
