JollySipper
I got this '40 Ford in a trade with Casey. Been working on getting it like I want it to sit. I've "sectioned" the body piece some by removing about 4 scale inches from the bottom of it. Also lowered the suspension front and rear. Still need to cut up the hood, which I'll try to "pancake" while it's in pieces......
Tom Geiger
Rebuilt this display cabinet today! I doubled capacity by having 4 new shelves cut by local glass shop. Due to angles, I had to remove back to drill holes for new brackets, and while it was open I removed back wall mirror. Photo is completed cabinet with 8 levels.. already full! Spottedlaurel
/\ Looks good. As well making a start on the Fiat I made useful progress on these over the weekend: Chevrolet, Toyota and Honda kits by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr The Impala looks more complete than it is, as it has no suspension. Still not 100% happy with how it's fitting together around the front screen/interior/dashboard interface, more trimming required. Chevrolet, Toyota and Honda kits by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Quite a size difference between the three of them.
Modlbldr
Getting quite a bit done today. Got the gold painted on the Mercury, taped off the body and painted a couple of coats of Root beer on the roof. Got a couple of boogers to sand out and repaint. Pulled these three bodies out of the Pond this morning that was soaking all weekend. The Impala looks good. The 58 Ford looks good but had at least 6 different colors of paint on it. The 49 Ford had a couple of coats come off but still has at least 3 different colors on it! Later-

You know you want to! 🤔 Today I emptied out my big display case. Now that I practiced drilling holes and adding shelves to the smaller case, I’m confident enough to attack the big case... Last photo of it with three shelves! I will be adding one between each existing shelf for a total of six shelves, doubling my capacity. I’m also going to cover up the mirror to make it easier to take photos without the 3D effect.
Sam I Am
That will be nice. I need to add shelves to one of mine as well. So I threw a coat of primer on so I could see what I am doing. I already know it will be white, way to rough for any other color. Edited March 17, 2021 by Sam I Am
TransAmMike
Got primer on 2 bodies (the Vette is a redo after sanding off most of the color coat). Stynylrez gray.

89AKurt
Something that bothered me, for almost two years, was the hood flopping too far back when opened. Made a prop rod tonight. Another project was the same thing, hood was falling down when I thought it was balanced, fixed last month. So from now on, I'm just going to make the prop rods! Tom Geiger
Today I got the new shelves installed in my larger showcase. Tomorrow I’ll take a photo in daylight, I just tried and it’s all glare and reflections off the glass. Tomorrow I’ll put the models back, a lot less crowded this time!
