randyc Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 I had a WIP going. Here is the finished version. One of my most realistic builds. I put it in cars because it really isn't truck like in any way. And it's not what most ppl build, but we have a real one, so had to. 2
stitchdup Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Nicely done, a bit of black wet n dry under it on the last pic and you'd struggle to know it was a model
Classicgas Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Very nice, a factory stock model, what's not too like?
randyc Posted May 5, 2020 Author Posted May 5, 2020 Thanks everyone. As "simple" as it was, if was a fun build to detail as closely as possible to our real one. It builds into a really nice replica and has plenty of opportunity for detailing. The grill alone is a perfect match for hte real one and is molded open. Like Larry Greenberg used to say in his reviews "highly recommended"
hct728(Bob) Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 Love it! What people really drive, very popular around here. Debated buying the kit, kinda pricey for a curbside but boy it sure looks good properly painted and assembled like yours!
randyc Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Wow! Thanks from a year later. Wish I could find a hyundai Kona to match my real one.
doorsovdoon Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 That's one good looking build! The paint is stunning, beautiful colour. With the right backdrop you'd struggle to distinguish this from the real thing!
shoopdog Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Nice to see something most people don't build, excellent build!
kruleworld Posted August 14, 2021 Posted August 14, 2021 looks good. first of this model i've seen built.
randyc Posted August 16, 2021 Author Posted August 16, 2021 Wow! Thanks folks! It is as close as I could get to my wife's. I intentionally went a little light on the paint because indoors paint looks darker than outside. I made several trips to the car to get details as close as I could. Fun to build stuff like that.
Dominik Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 That's cool, to have the own daily as a model. It looks pretty nice! Nice color, super clean built. Well done!
