slusher Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Jerry Stiller died of natural causes at 92. He was the father-in-law on King of Queens very funny man..
TonyK Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Always liked him. Made me laugh a lot but he was also good as a serious actor. Stiller and Meara were such a fun duo.
Miatatom Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Loved when he would rant on King of Queens. Stiller and Meara was a classic comedy duo. RIP Jerry
iamsuperdan Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 He was so good in so many things, but for my generation, he will always be Frank Costanza. "Serenity now!"
NYLIBUD Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 (edited) That sucks. That was one funny man.Ben Stillers father. His mother was funny too.She passed away in 2015 from a stroke. Edited May 11, 2020 by NYLIBUD

Miatatom Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Yeah, serenity now! His son Ben is an amazing actor. If you want to see a great, but very very dark movie, check out Permanent Midnight. As good or even better than Frank Sinatra in The Man With the Golden Arm.
Snake45 Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I remember him from Stiller & Meara on Ed Sullivan. Of course I loved him on Seinfeld.
espo Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I remember when he and his wife were a comedy team and how they would play off of each other. I think his best skit on Seinfeld was when he and Kramer came up with the Bro.

Classicgas Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Funny how both of his primary characters were so much alike.

Rob Hall Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I think I've only seen him in Seinfeld and several movies. Funny guy. I've long been a fan of his son Ben.
Goose1957 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) R.I.P. Jerry. A great comedian and actor. Gave us all a new holiday, a new support garment for portly, elderly men, and many other laughs along the way. He will be missed. I wonder if he said to his physician, "Million to one shot, doc, million to one!" Jeff Edited May 12, 2020 by Goose1957 Fixed quote
slusher Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) I just saw the.king of queens episode when Arthur and Doug was going to play shuffle board to win foot powder.. Kevin James asked him to be on his show to help it be a hit. I read that some place a long time ago... Edited May 12, 2020 by slusher

I missed that one. I wasn't a dedicated watcher like my wife. But I would catch one every now and then. I think I liked Kramer about the best but they all were funny in so many ways.
