cheyenne93 Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 (edited) Just finished this one up for the BOD. This is of the 1/1 80 monte I had back in the late 80s. Thanks for lookin.? Edited September 28, 2020 by cheyenne93
espo Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 I enjoyed your build on this. What did you use for your heater hoses ? The paint treatment really makes this car standout. I always liked the "rake stance" back then and it offered enough room for thew oversized tires to stick out of the wheel wells just what HiJackers were invented for.
NitroMarty Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Nicely done..... You definitely nailed the late 80's street machine look!!!!
NYLIBUD Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Great job...There’s a car that I see at shows that is almost identical to your model. And it’s loud and fast.

Just some vinyl tubing I had in the stash.
Can-Con Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Now there's something you don't see everyday. ? Nice work, I was following along , cool to see you replicate your old ride. BTW, I did see a '79 painted just like that at a gas station a few weeks ago.
Spottedlaurel Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Enjoyed watching it come together as a WIP, the finished result looks excellent.
doorsovdoon Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Very, very nice! I love the Monte Carlo, such a good looking car. Nicely detailed, even the brake calipers can be seen. love little touches like that. Nice one.
Plowboy Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 That's a nice looking Monte Carlo Joel! Brings back memories of the old days when I owned an '81 Malibu. Nice work!
BlackSheep214 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I owned the '78 Monte Carlo. Blew up the 305 engine, had a 350 put in, slapped on some Cragar rims on Dunlop GT Qualifiers My sister had that kit back in our younger years. Yours came out simply awesome!!
cheyenne93 Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 Thanks everyone for all your comments. I really enjoyed this build.
