tiking Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Been building and weathering this little guy, for a diorama I am presently working on. I used the sponge technique for the chipped areas as well as a sharp X-to hobby knife. I used light dust, and dark brown colors from Citadel.
#1 model citizen Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 The patina/weathering is perfect! Great job!
NOBLNG Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 If you had a better background in the photos, I’d swear that thing was real!

Straightliner59 Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 (edited) That's very cool! Excellent paint effects. I will refer to your photos as I work on my current project. If you only knew my history with forklifts! A shin meeting the tip of a fork, on a cold winter day? Way too many times! Edited December 31, 2020 by Straightliner59
TonyK Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 All the years I drove a forklift, this really hits home. Looks so real! Great work!
carrucha Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Cool forklift. Nice to see this subject on the this forum. Very realistic weathering.
vincen47 Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Excellent! Your weathering is superb. This is a perfect example of the ordinary, mundane, and otherwise unnoticed equipment in our world that makes for an extraordinary, unique, and intriguing build. Thanks for posting!
Deuces ll Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Almost looks like the one we have at work....??

espo Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Very realistic looking. I also notice the wood pallet that looks perfectly in place with the Forklift.

charlie8575 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 That fork looks like it operated in a very dusty environment. Or a concrete plant. Good job. Charlie Larkin
