I picked this kit up a while back at Hobby Lobby for 7.49, what a great kit in my opinion. Wish I had bought a couple of them.

The paint is Tamiya TS78 Field Gray  with the TS13 clear coat. Not a factory color but I thought it was fitting for the era. I'm one of probably 3% of modelers who don't foil so trim is all silver Sharpie. Regardless I think it turned out pretty nice. Also Testors tube glue used throughout, my adhesive of choice. Thanks for looking.

Impressive job with the silver sharpie on the trim! Did you mask it first or just apply freehand? The color look’s more appropriate than I first thought based on the brochure pic posted above. A beautiful tribute to Vigil Exner’s styling!

Almost like the brochure:

1957 Chrysler 300C-02

Thank you for posting up the brochure, color is kind of close.

Thank John! I only masked the 1/4 panel moldings to ensure a straight line, all the other trim is free hand.

Hi Keith!

Great work, and you are right: this is a great kit. Your color choice is dead-on for the era. When I was a kid, there was a Mopar dealer down my street, and I remember those large cruisers on the lot. Great memories, thanks!

Very nice 300! Great choice of color. In the 90’s my Granddad’s neighbor had 2 57’s! Both absolutely beautiful cars, and man they were impressive going down the street when he took them out.  Nice work on yours ?
