bauercrew Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Just finished this up ,SORRY all mopar fans tryed three times to do the wood grain interior, gave up said heck with it painted black, had issues with the rear tail lights fitting right, the frame was really bent badly ,and the hood was warped Really bad ,when i seen those issues i almost threw it in the round file cabinet ,but as expensive as models are now days ,i went ahead with it ,it looks like it going way in back of cabinet on bottom shelve ?
michelle Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 nice work even with the issues it still turned out nice
Bainford Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Agreed. Sharp looking convertible. The colour complements the lines.
PappyD340 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Well in spite of the issues I think it turned pretty darn good, great color!!
TransAmMike Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Very nice Bill, and the white interior looks great with the pretty blue?
Kennyboy Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Looks good to me in pictures. I wouldnt sweat it too much. Quick tip for convincing wood grain: paint the pieces a glossy tan or yellow cream color, then use a brown Sharpie to simulate wood grain. It takes a little practice but the Sharpie will blend and create lights and darks.
espo Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Looks great in the photos. Was this a convertible kit , if not how did you create the top boot ? A GTX convertible with a Hemi would have been an outstanding ride in '69.
Kromolly Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 That looks great. You're the only one who sees the flaws. Put it on the shelf, enjoy it, and build another model!
Grumpa Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Beautiful "GTX" Bill! One of my favorite 'MOPARS"!
hedotwo Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) Looks good to my eye! Sometimes we're our worst critic Edited March 29, 2021 by hedotwo
