ModelcarJR Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 I built this MPC kit as Grandma's grocery getter to remove it from my closet. The color is Tamiya Dark Yellow with a Krylon Italian Olive interior. Its powered by a 340 4-barrel from another MPC kit, a 1980 Plymouth Volare, that I added plug wires and heater hoses. I also added a parts box outside mirror and steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps from a 68 Dodge Charger. Thanks for looking! ?
Spottedlaurel Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Great to see it finished, I really like the understated colour and low-spec combination.
Smitty Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Now that’s what I call a sleeper! Grandma would not be wasting much time getting to the grocery store. Great colour choice. (The only giveaway would be the slightly beefy tires.) You’ve shown that with a little attention to detail this kit can be made to look really good. Especially in regards to the engine and rolling stock. Great job!
ModelcarJR Posted April 14, 2021 Author Posted April 14, 2021 I forgot to post a picture of the engine bay in the post above. Here it is.
doorsovdoon Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Beautiful, very nicely done. Love the sleeper look on this!
ewetwo Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 This is wonderful. Love the dog dish hub caps. Nice.
ModelcarJR Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 Thanks, All! I appreciate the comments! ?
BeakDoc Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Great looking Dart, John. I hope granny straps them groceries down in case that right foot gets a little heavy.
