AL. Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Resin kit by California Resin Works (CRW) now almost impossible to find I believe. Because of major body fit problems I decided to display it seperately.
TarheelRick Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Really love those belly tankers. You did an outstanding job with this one. Sure wish some enterprising soul would kit these.
bbowser Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 That would be one scary ride! Very well done, the interior needs to be displayed-great idea with the body supports.
Paul Payne Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Really nice belly tanker! I think the use of war surplus belly tanks was the most ingenious thing hot rodders worked with post war! 1

Bodnarus Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Great build. Love resin kits despite the troubles or maybe even because of. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH though, that looks like a deadly machine. Bias-ply tires at those speeds!
Bainford Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Wow! Very nice. Excellent detailing, and colours & overall textures look right on. You nailed it. Shame about the body fit.
Claude Thibodeau Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Hi Alan! Very clean, and inspiring. Bravo! Now, we must pause, and think what it was like to drive those devices on the salt. Those guys had balls... CT
1959scudetto Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Very well done - good idea to display the body seperately - this must have been a real RODEO ride on the salt with this kind of vehicle...
AL. Posted April 28, 2021 Author Posted April 28, 2021 Thanks all. Your kind comments keep this old geezer going. ?
styromaniac Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) Very Nicely Done. You'll never know what a challenge it is to put together one of these from scratch until you try it...it ain't as easy as it looks. And I tried one in 1/32 scale ( because the drop tank I used as a start point came from a Trumpeter P-38 Lightening kit ....just like the real hot rodders used back in the post WW II. ) Edited June 4, 2021 by styromaniac
M W Elky Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 Sweet job I could look at this for hours.we need to build more lakes cars .
