bogger44 Posted August 23, 2021 Author Posted August 23, 2021 Much appreciation guys, glad you like it and thanks for your nice words. It was a really fun build.
FLHCAHZ Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 The stance is perfect and really nice work on the body detail
'70 Grande Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Love this build! Imagine it in the 1:1 world... you'd be able to hear it coming from a 1/2-mile away!
Dann Tier Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 What a freaking BEAST!!!!!.....outstanding job!! -i think i need one, lol
StevenGuthmiller Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 I love it!! Never been much of fan of the Ford teardrop hoods, but aside from that, it’s phenomenal! I love that kind of stance! It just screams aggression to my eye. Steve
papajohn97 Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Very nice job merging the AMT ‘60 Starliner chassis & engine to this old tooled Merc. This car looks good in white & red with the jacked up chassis and teardrop hood. As much as I like the fastback ‘63-64 Ford Galaxies, I think this Maurader has even nicer styling. Beautiful super neat build!
Venom Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Wow! I absolutely love it. Looks so good!.... White was a great color choice?
Nacho Z Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 This is just an all around great looking model! Well done!
satterwhite78 Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Whew! If Gramdma finds out what you've done with her Mercury, I don't think the back of the barn will still be standing! A friend gave me the same kit a few years back to do a Nascar version......I see that "patience " has it virtues..lol! Now I want to build one. Great job and for thinking "outside" the box. Love em when they stand n go!
mchook Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 WOW! I never thought this car could look so menacing. Great job!
Dave Darby Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Very, very nice! With the healthy stance and white lettered tires, I'd date this look to the early to mid 70s, a look overdue to come into its own. I really like this one a lot.
bogger44 Posted August 29, 2021 Author Posted August 29, 2021 Hey thanks again for all the love guys. Beautiful super neat build! Thanks, combining the two kits was pretty easy, thankfully hahaha. I kinda think the same on styling too. I love the Galaxies, but these Merc's really come to life when hot rodded up. On 8/27/2021 at 7:08 PM, Venom said: Wow! I absolutely love it. Looks so good!.... White was a great color choice? Thanks Josh. Going into the build I was torn on colors, it was going to be either this or a gold on gold combo. Think it would have looked sharp that way too.
carrucha Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) Cool build! Nice work combining both kits. Edited August 30, 2021 by carrucha
Tiger89 Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Fabulous! I've done one '64, a '63 convertible, and recently bought a mint '63 Marauder hardtop which will get built eventually. I love these '63 and '64 Mercury kits, and the chassis on them doesn't bother me.
