carbuilder1950 Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 (edited) Would this custom truck go here, or in trucks??? Edited October 1, 2021 by carbuilder1950
1930fordpickup Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 This is cool, but I think it should be in the Truck section. 1
Zippi Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Man oh man does that look sharp. Got any more pics you could share Dave. 1

Smoke Wagon Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I really like the roof chop, it gives the truck a lot of attitude, not to mention that party going on behind the sleeper! Amazing build 1
kilrathy10 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Now, that is about as wild as it gets... Awesome build... That is one amazing Lonestar.... One of a kind... Beautiful... 1
1959scudetto Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Wild truck here, David - is it for the strip or for the road? Anyway, equally impressive load on the trailer... 1

Anyway, equally impressive load on the trailer... @1959scudetto The cab and trailer both have air ride suspension built into the 2 chassis. Mainly built for salt flat runs with those 2 supercharged and turbo charged Allison's behind the cab, but I built it to be a drag truck, or for show also, or something to have fun with on the street when the air bags are filled. Nothing but my crazy imagination run amok. Sometimes I don't know when to stop a project, and this one sorta got otta hand ?. Forgive me, if it's a bit too much. The main color is called "Southern Bell yellow pearl." How do you pass up a name like that?? Edited October 2, 2021 by carbuilder1950
Mopar - D Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Awesome build Dave! I don’t think you got outta hand with this it all goes together nicely. 1
Bucky Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 This is a fantastic set-up! The whole yellow theme throughput is perfect! The custom work looks flawless, too! 1

Some things ya just gotta do. Love it. Dave
Mike C Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Really nice build, you must have used a gallon of yellow there. 1
carbuilder1950 Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) This took me a year to build. Sometimes when I start a project with no direction, it gets out of control. But in this case that was OK. I'll post a few construction pics, but I won't bore you with too many. Edited October 30, 2021 by carbuilder1950
TarheelRick Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 This is just too much eye candy for these old tired eyes to comprehend. Awesome build from the front bumper to the trailer taillights and everything in between. You sir have an out of control imagination and I like it. 1
Nacho Z Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 What an amazing build!!! There is almost too much to take in but it all flows and ties in together so nicely. I envy guys like you that have such a creative touch. I just don't have that. And then to execute the vision in your mind's eye......wow! 1
carbuilder1950 Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) A few more construx pics. In some of the last pics, I machined an axle for the Car Hauler, and also machined 2 V-shaped wheel connectors that were pinned to each side of the axle, but could be free to move, as the trailer went over uneven roads, and other obstacles.
