cobraman Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Just finished this one up . The yellow pic is what I started with . Lots of pieces either broke or missing . Replaced several parts from my parts box. Painted Tamiya Metallic Green and cleared with Duplicolor 1K clear. Not perfect but good enough to have a place in one of my cabinets . Now on to the second on I bought . 1

happy grumpy Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 beautiful save. I like it when a model can have a second lease on life. A good side effect to recycling.
Snake45 Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Very nice! Don't you love bringing one back to life? Well done and model on!
cobraman Posted October 19, 2021 Author Posted October 19, 2021 Thank you all very much ! Yes Snake, I must admit I found this more satisfying than building a new one.
chris chabre Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Ive never been a big Cobra fan (always liked the gt40 more) but a DRAG COBRA is killer. NICE SAVE
afx Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Nice work Ray. I like drag racing Cobras. Edited October 20, 2021 by afx

espo Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Hard to believe this is the same model. Beautiful looking paint finish and color. I like the Drag Racing theme.
slusher Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Ray, May I ask which AMT kit this is. I was thinking king Cobra?
cobraman Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 Thank you Carl. It seems like it had to be the King Cobra version. I suspect by the pieces the original builder used that it was the original version from years ago and not the newest one.
