A beautiful kit from Lindberg. Not sure if this color was ever offered but one of my uncles had a 49 ford with a color close to that. Anyway  I am happy with it.

That looks super sweet Mario.  Fantastic job and the color looks nice.  I have an AMT 53 with the body painted in a light green for a winter project.

Thanks Zippi, Let me know how the AMT /Lindberg is different. Did round 2 made any significant additions to the kit or is it essentially the same ?

Don't really know Mario.  Its the first 53 Ford I've had.  This is the color I chose for mine.

That's a beautiful color Bob. Back then, they weren't afraid to use  bright colors, a far cry from black, white and any shade of gray in between we see these days. However, some manufacturers seem to introduce those crazy colors back recently. Personally I like those crazy colors from the 50's. It looks close to the green of the coca cola AMT kit. I like it. Looking forward to see the end result.

Be well

A gorgeous Ford!

The color looks right for the era, and your paintwork looks fantastic.

Thank guys,

Zippi, and for those who are wondering what color I used. When I need a custom color, I usually eyeball it. For this , I used a mix of Tamiya acrylics orange white red and brown.

i don't remember the ratios though. I only use flat acrylics as they offer better coverage. Light sanded and 4 coats of Tamiya TS 13 clear.

Beautiful looking paint and I like the color. Ford did offer a color very close to this. I like the clean chrome trim also.
