Modlbldr Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Just finished this one up tonight. It is the MPC Snake Bite Mustang Cobra. I bought it as an unpainted but decaled built up and I stripped it down. Paint is Testors Viper GTS Blue with Testors silver of some sort. The pinstripe along the hood bulge and along the body molding is Lavender. I wasn't confident of my choice of striping at first but I really liked it once I got it on the body. The window glass was pretty scuffed so I decided to just spray it flat black on the inside. The windshield decal was left over from the OB. Engine detail is just the basic engine. No wiring or plumbing. This was a fun build that went together very easily and was quite enjoyable. Hope you like it. 1
vamach1 Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Very nice. The engine look like it has some characteristics of a 351 Cleveland. Is that the engine that came in the kit?

webestang Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Super nice build. Someday I'll build that kit, it's in storage with all my Mustang kits.
Modlbldr Posted November 26, 2021 Author Posted November 26, 2021 Thank you guys! Scott- it is a much better kit than I had first thought. Not exactly top quality, but a great kit for its age. Went together with no hiccups. Later- 1
happy grumpy Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Beautiful mustang, I like the blue / gray treatment.
espo Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Great clean looking build and the paint color looks nice and smooth.
crazyjim Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Looking good. I'l have to look for that kit becuase it seems to represent the '86 Mustnag GT I had.
AMT68 Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Sharp looking Mustang in that color and I like the contrasting hood color. Wouldn't mind finding one of these MPC or Monogram versions of the early Fox body Mustangs.
kelson Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Love the colour scheme!,it really works on those body lines!?
Modlbldr Posted November 27, 2021 Author Posted November 27, 2021 Thanks guys! I really think the color combo came out nice. Not too flashy and not just plain metallic blue. Later-
