This is the third Belkits Escort I have built. Not one of them is out of the box, this one however is the most modified.

My friend Richie makes resin kits and conversions in the UK under the handle Roaring Replicars and provided his modified floor/chassis/engine bay, rear seat, hood and engine/g'box. Wheels and front seats are from Scale Production DE. Paint is Dodge Sublime for main colour with some darker green mixed in for the RS stripes.

Still have one more unbuilt in the stash but still pondering what style to build it in. Definitely going to have the resin mods though.

Atb, Steve.

Beautiful looking build. I have seen so many of these 1:1 still being Rally'd in the Nostalgia Rally racing on YouTube. Your detailing is very cleanly done inside and out.

Very nicely done!

Does he offer anything for the Esci/Italeri Mk2?

Thanks Nigel. Richie does a couple of different bodies for the MkII. Both have the X pack style arches, one road style and the other based on the Grp 5 racers. He also does a resin bonnet (hood) without the sink marks?.

At the moment he is working on a rear wing Group 5 style. And also an RS2000 body with X pack arches. He can be found on Facebook on the IPMS UK F1 and Motorsport SIG.

Very nice Steve!  I did a detailed build of a Mk.II rally car a few years back.  Want to build this kit as well.

I am seriously digging your Escort. Cleanly built with fine detailing, and the Lotus Twin Cam is a great choice and nicely done. It sits just right, and the wheels are a good choice. This is one of the coolest builds I've seen in a while. I love it!

Boy that looks nice and clean with great lines.  That engine bay looks really clean.  That Dodge Sublime paint looks killer.  Great job.

Just WOW!  You done a great job there Steve. Looks perfect in that colour. Is that similar to Ford’s Java green? Under bonnet detail really makes this model. In the 1:1 world, these cars spend most of their time with the bonnets open, showing off the engine, so building the Bellkits model out of the box just seems a shame.

I never knew there was another resin maker doing engine detail for these. I’ve been waiting patiently for Scale productions to get there’s back in stock. I will have to look up roaring resins on FB. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Sonny. It's easier to contact Richie through this FB page, he is admin.
