Rusty92 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Well, here it is! Finally done. This is my take on the truck from C. W. McCall’s song “Classified.” Overall this is a good kit. A bit finicky during final assembly and the underside of the cab/bed lack a lot of detail, but since I don’t display them upside down it doesn’t really matter! Thanks for looking. 1 1
happy grumpy Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Now that's the kind of build that draw my attention. Superb job on the weathering. Very well done.
Zippi Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Good looking Cameo. The weathering Looks pretty kewl. I like how the box is a different color than the cab and front fenders.
TransAmMike Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Very convincing weathering there Jacob, nice work?
Rusty92 Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 Thank you everyone for the comments. I realized I forgot to paint the bow tie on the tailgate. I’ll have to do that right away!
Dominik Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 the weathering looks really good! like it. the I-dot are the rear wheels for mud-work. cool detail.
bisc63 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 That really came out nice! This deserves a diorama setting to finish the story...
Classicgas Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 (edited) Well done. Classified is a great song. Call 140 ring 2 and ask for Bob..... Edited December 17, 2021 by Classicgas
doggie427 Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) First of all, I love your weathering job on your truck. Not to be a wise guy But the cameo pickup bed and fenders were fibreglass and wouldn’t have rust stains, faded paint and cracked fibreglas however was really common. ??♂️ Edited December 19, 2021 by doggie427

I knew the bed was fiberglass. I tried my best to make it look faded and distressed without it looking like rust.
