Another unfinished model. This one truly is made up of pieces and parts from various sources. Mostly left overs. I’ll post some close ups of the chassis and engine later. F43F9318-D351-4C1A-8F57-960A33ADEF22.thumb.jpeg.587f8d4942517b1980743d679489b42f.jpeg7A227095-70DC-4E90-91ED-CA4CD4646B56.jpeg.35388b6817de876742d1f6cd76065ef6.jpeg29425D20-2C6F-453D-8F8D-D9CBC4A370CF.thumb.jpeg.aba954c2cea8891bd4d7523ed229cf87.jpeg

James, that is one righteous chop!  I guess there finally is an advantage to AMT giving us a rear window insert!  I am going to have to study this one - I don't have any 34 coupes planed for the bench right now but I need to copy this before I forget it - wow, that looks so right! And that little duck tail rollpan - ahhhhhhh!

Are you thinking of sectioning the 37 grille to get the hood line down?

Are they the original Revell Anglia tyres up front?

Cheers

So far I did get the hood lined up better by lowering the grill. It’s just taped on for now. The challenge is going to mate the hood and grill.
Here’s the chassis with 40 Ford bracing, the two speed axle and assorted window frames to make one that fits. I’m not sold on the tri carbs just yet. Yes to the tires.

Thx

I agree with everyone else on the way you chopped the top. The proportions look like it was always that way.

Nice work on that chop! I've only attempted to lean-chop a '34 once...with variable results, haha. The upper door frames and window reveals were the most difficult part to deal with.

I like the truck grille! I agree it could use a little shortening, but I understand why you might not want to slice into it.

The hemi combined with that wheel/tire package is going to look seriously mean!

This was a good decision. Gonna strip it and see about painting body color. I’ll get the hood fit tightened up and keep on the body work. 4AA93232-31B2-4C45-A678-9B78F8D3CB07.jpeg.42ed333134d23dd8e13b1d0986cf0c35.jpeg14F4E57C-2FD8-45E3-A058-D78464E564D1.jpeg.d9db3def46e4bf2114d1024e5c49350e.jpeg1D9886D6-4B80-4527-BDEB-BAEBFF1D5FD3.jpeg.4055fbb24baf94ec28aaa26b298dcd80.jpeg0D720EAF-7469-4678-A35F-CED12330061E.thumb.jpeg.e9596700f0803238d640b6f03cf73670.jpeg

I know it was said more than once already, but I’ll repeat it again. This chop is just perfect! I personally liked it better with the smooth hood.

The hood did look good but even if I ran a carb it would of needed to be cut. The clearance is to close, so as they say, go big or go home…

This is looking so cool.  I'm glad you sectioned the grille - it really helped the proportions and you chose a perfect place to make the cut. Looking forward to seeing it in paint.

Cheers
