Another one I just mocked up this afternoon.Revell LX notchback with a Greg Wann corrected resin body. The wheels are Zforcemodelworx BBS RK wheels. The engine is a TX3 Customs Ford small block with a Holley EFI intake.I will probably scratchbuild a Makers Garage front lip for the front end and maybe do a single turbo set up on the engine, but not sure yet.

Latest mock up of my 70 Firebird project. Changed the tires to something more period correct. Body painted Testors Fathom Green.

I don't plan to start on this project this year, but I couldn't resist testing it out. This will be a Cosworth DFV powered Lotus Seven hot rod.

Revell 32 tudor from the group build that never got finished. Chopped, bobbed, lowered, roll pan, +. The stance is perfect in my mind, now I just need a 60s hot rod color for it, any recommendations (may not listen but imput will tilt the scale).20250612_100712.jpg.af55f6614b2645f087525f51d9e7f109.jpg20250612_100956.jpg.e32c6c2126dbb59b37c0c4fc02231d4f.jpg20250612_101018.jpg.8e071e5124ea5514a0778acd5613656e.jpg

Interesting idea I also thought about green or a blue, probably metallic.

Looks like Mark Gustavson of the GSL contests had uploaded old contest photos to a new or different account - here's my Cobra "Berlinetta" coupe from the GSL display table circa 1993 ( https://public.fotki.com/GSL-Model-Car-Championship/gsl-xiv-1993/gsl-xiv1993/ ) with its aluminum sheet hood, shortened Porsche 911 roof, Herb Deeks photoetch Borani wheels, and fully detailed Hasagawa Jaguar V12 engine.  Aim was to 'Italian-ize' the Monogram 25th scale 427 Cobra that Italian hotrodder Carollo Shelbyani would have build back in the day. Tragedy is, this is all the further my project ever got. One of these days, just like all the other stack of unfinished projects, I out to get it done.

I'm starting a belly tanker- trying to figure out the exhaust- should be an interesting challenge!

The Ardun exhaust is unique that the ports exit straight down.  Might need a creative frame design around the engine. Hope to see more of your build. Thanks.

John, I think I can make the frame work, but lining up the exit holes in the body, and shoehorning the engine with the exhausts on the engine-maybe tipping the engine to introduce the exhaust on one side, then twisting the opposite exhausts down into place until they poke through the body- still trying to mentally engineer it. Follow my build in WIP number 6 in the stash bash.

Was playing around with an AMT ‘69 Corvair this weekend, going to be Yenko Stinger inspired too!

Got to thinking about it this weekend and I remembered that Aoshima has sets of more vintage aftermarket wheels for older Japanese cars, including Cragar 5 spoke style and Ansen 5 Slot style wheels, with the latter being licensed from Enkei Wheels. So Dad and I took a ride out to a little hobby shop that I was pretty sure would have what I was looking for (he’s a regular bender at a lot of the local shows too and has had them at those) and sure enough he had multiple sets of both styles. Now because they’re of the Big and Little variety and they were going to go on the Corvair I recently posted, I bought 2 set of the 5 Slot Enkei’s to get the little fronts and they are the perfect size for the AMT Corvair kit!

The first 2 are similar pics to what I posted last weekend, but on those wheels followed by a slightly angled profile shot. IMG_9979.jpeg.c29939133867c349eb558de04cb8cf39.jpegIMG_9978.jpeg.f0dc2270e1b72a3143b52d4f429c6c2b.jpegIMG_9975.jpeg.3283a8d0f08dd9525eb45f11c80de743.jpeg

Then the final pic here is of the stock Michelins and optional Firestones in the kit plus the Aoshima Firestone tire from left to  right.

I really like the appearance of the Aoshima 1/24 15’s vs the kit’s 1/25 13’s, they seem to fit the body and stance far better, also give the car more of the attitude I’m going for with it.

Moebius 65 Coronet, that I plan on building into a solid 9 second drag car. Should look totally streetable, except for the roll bar, parachute, and other safety equipment. Undecided if I want a Lenco transmission, or just use the supplied one behind the hemi. Looking to paint it some shade of blue. This blue car on YouTube got my mind goin’

It's really too bad these roofs don't fit without a ton of work. If it wasn't such a bear to finish, I'd have a lot more of these.
