When I was young I never really liked trac noses, or T buckets for that matter. I was in to Chevelles, Camaros and vettes. I guess I just always loved the sporty look. Then I saw an opel GT for sale when I was in high school, and loved sports cars ever since. One day I got a how to draw street rods and found a picture of a 25 T flat as a fritter and just as low, with a track nose and my whole opinion changed. I was thinking to myself, “ you mean you can turn a T bucket, which at the time I just considered a piece of farm equipment, into a sports car?” My world changed!

so here it is in the works. “ when I have time of course.”005E1DB1-64D8-4441-861E-63241EEBBFE0.thumb.jpeg.50c03a442618c38f1e458b1b0f00a59f.jpeg

I’ve been in a building slump lately. Here’s a project that’s been mocked for a while now.Gonna be a 71 Rally Nova resto mod using the Revell 69 COPO Nova kit. The wheels/tires from Steve Zimmerman. The LS engine/trans is from TX3d customs.

I had a similar "AHA!!" moment somewhere around '95, after being a Euro sports-car snob since I drove my first Porsche around 1970. Combining the virtues of sports cars and hot rods has been one of my main interests ever since.

Really like the look you have going here. It'll be worth the wait to see where it goes.   :D

Thanks Bill, and Charles. I’m working second shift at the lazy B, but I will get going on this after I get bad weather and some time off😂

HMCN was a great show this year, fantastic builds! Right before the awards were announced, the President of KC Slammers pulled a few contestants aside and handed out little bag to each of them. Resign LSX with a note.

To follow next year's theme, "What the Heck?". We have to put this LSX in a vehicle that this motor would never be installed in and make it like the manufacturer designed it to fit (look like stock).

Someone said, "A beetle?" Yes, something that wouldn't have a V8.

So... after searching for something, I ran across this! Tamyia 1/24 1969 Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Mk1. The LSX might be a tight squeeze! 20230627_210926.thumb.jpg.7a4a1e68bf6f98b8925067a23750b5ac.jpg20230627_213137.thumb.jpg.6ab517dec4e0a3dd6ba8068de27b1d83.jpg20230627_213108.thumb.jpg.f7c841cff2a0886448adda01138d069b.jpg

Lol... wish me luck!

Something I don't normally build.

That's a great opening line!

I love changing things up from time to time, trying something different, it keeps the modeling bug happy!

Building the same type of models over and over causes builder burnout and lack of interest.

Try a Tamiya kit, of build a 4X4 or an exotic, '32 old school, factory correct muscle car, SEMA build, or................

Everyone should try "Something you don't normally build"

Cheers!
