Terrific thread idea . . . Love seeing the variety of styles presented in mock up state.  Here’s several projects that hit the workbench but never went any further.  Oh well . . .

'56 Chevy mild custom - slight top chop and sectioning

My current mock-up. Cab sits too high from the chassis out of the box so I lowered it a few mm and checking clearance for everything that's under it!

You'll probably have it finished by Thursday evening!

Of my own stuff, these are the mock-ups of uncompleted builds. Sadly none have progressed too far recently:

AMT Ford Courier that's going to be fitted with a Thunderbird V6. The multi-piece bodywork and rubbery quality of plastic isn't enthusing me, must somehow get to grips with it.

Toyota Hiace has since been painted.

This was as far as I got with everyone's favourite Charger back in 2007/08.

Humbrol (Esci) Fiat 131 that I originally built as a rally car a long, long time ago, now being rebuilt as a fast road car.

I need to progress these and get one or two more on the go - I seem to have stalled a bit on building since my recent house move and getting some new ideas fermenting might get me going again.

Oh yeah.  :D  There's a car here in town that's almost a dead ringer for the proportions you have there.

It's beautifully turned out and at first glance you think it's stock...but it just looks so much better you start looking closer until the AHA!!! moment, when you realize what's been done.

Nice job capturing that in scale.  B)

I like 'em all, but the Fiat really does it for me.  :D

I like this a LOT! What is it?

Thanks for the interest, it's a phantom '78 Ranchero GT, some day it will get re-finished, (old)WIP thread here:

Thanks so much! That's a great looking model. You've inspired me--I think I'll try this using a Pinto wagon. Now to go find a Pinto wagon. Drive on! B)

And I've been absorbed checking out your mock-ups -- SO many inspired designs.  Anyway, thanks so much for the kind compliment on the Chevy, Bill.  Made my day!

Stance to my view is very important. IMO, that can make or break a good model...

Always enjoy seeing the effort you make to get the stance and everything else about a car's "look" right-on. Your work has been an inspiration to me from the first time I saw it here on this board.   :D
