Joe Lange Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Finished the Monza GT this week! Fits perfectly in a slot car case. 1
bisc63 Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Pretty sharp! Was there a WIP thread? I missed it if so. Love that metallic gray color; very classy look.
Kah puts Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Wow, what a interesting car, I see a lot of different things going on, you've done a fantastic job, who made this kit ,kudos.
Bainford Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Wow, very cool! I always thought the Corvair Monza showcar was particularly interesting. Nice clean work on this one. I don't recall ever seeing one of these built before. Is this a plastic kit?

Hi Rusty, I'm not very computer savy so I'm still learning how to navigate the Forum. I added some pics to my original post and this is my new and last posting on the car. Thanks for the complements.

Hi Glen, It is an old 1/24 Tamiya kit. However, I did a lot of scratch building to get it here. See my original post, 'Monza GT Corvair'. Thanks for the comments

It's a kit, but definitely not an 'out of the box' build. See my reply to member Kah Puts for details.
Classicgas Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Very cool. No idea a kit was ever offered.
unclescott58 Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Very nice. I too had no idea that a kit of this car was available. Who makes it?
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 (edited) Very nice upgrade of a kit that's really more toy than model as it comes. Looks great. Edited February 5, 2022 by Ace-Garageguy TYPO

happy grumpy Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 What an interesting car, great looking and very well built. Thanks for sharing
Koellefornia Kid Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Very cool build! And it looks so much better than the box art!
Joe Lange Posted February 6, 2022 Author Posted February 6, 2022 Thanks guys, for the complements, and thank you Bill for posting the pics of the kit and box! My box was pretty ratty when I first got it.
