The Junkman Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 No Fennec Shand for the (re-named) Boba Fett space craft. I'm out then. (Star Wars new Imperial overlords-Darth Disney-thought "Slave 1" wasn't in keeping with the current canon.) Wallet also safe for another month.
Smoke Wagon Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 1:64 Bluesmobile. I’m not much of a betting man, but I have a gut feeling that we’ll be seeing that car in plastic soon.

1972coronet Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 (edited) What?!? No Miller High Life Star Wars stuff? I was looking forward to making a sobriety checkpoint diorama with Darth Vader gettin' cuffed-and-stuffed for having one-too-many. Edited February 9, 2022 by 1972coronet 1 3
stavanzer Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Well, the Vette is nice. Not much else catches my eye though. Now I see the 3 engine options for the Vette. Wish they'd found the Blower Manifold. The Rest of the blower is there. Well, a good stash will have a part that will work. 1
Khils Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 (edited) Three months straight my wallets been safe! Which is good...cuz Moebius is gonna clean me out here pretty soon! Edited February 9, 2022 by Khils 2

Round2 acquired the Blues Brothers licensing last year, and they’ve announced that they’re tooling up a couple of brand new automotive kits. 70’s vehicles (and four door vehicles) have been largely underrepresented as far as models go. Movie tie-ins are generally a hit. I’d call it more of a logical assumption than a shot in the dark. Time will tell, as goes with all speculations. 1 1
1972coronet Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 The ''Prospect'' of a 1974 Dodge Monaco could provide the pallet for numerous police agencies' marques & livery. To create a correct Bluesmobile, one would have to roach it up properly: cracks on the dash pad; an 8-track player shoved-into disused A/C vents; a slice/cut/tear on the driver=side interior door panel; one windscreen wiper only; various dents, etc., etc. Since the 13 Bluesmobiles used in the film were all former C.H.P. models, the dreaded A.I.R. Pump would need to be an option (you lucky residents of ''The Other 49'' didn't have 'smog pumps' on Chryslers until 1975). Maybe by the 45th anniversary of the film (2025), we'll have a sweet, properly executed, multi-options 1974 Dodge Monaco available.
Hondamatic Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Its okay because a bunch of stuff hasn't come out yet here in hawaii anyways.. only recently got the full detail nova wagon
Oldcarfan27 Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 (edited) Not being much into Star Wars stuff, but the Slave one always looked to me like an old steam iron my grandmother once had. Disney probably had to be PC and change the name to be an inoffensive "Starfighter". I never realized Mattel gave up the copyrights for the Hot Wheels playsets. Seems strange this race set would be released by Auto World. Or am I missing something? Did anyone else see behind Chad's right shoulder? The Californian is already boxed up and on the shelf. Did they already release it, or is it about ready to come out? And below it looks like the AMT Fruitwagon/Paddy Wagon or is it the MPC Outlaw/Fire Truck #13? Hope it's a surprise release! dbostream Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 I want the '62 Bel Air been close to picking up one of the previous reissues.

Hope it's a surprise release! Are you talking about the kit with the blue truck on the box in the upper left corner of your pic? If so, I think that's just the '34 Ford truck kit coming round again...
showrods Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Agreed...move along folks..nothing to see here...come back again in March... 1

espo Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 I for one am glad to see the '62 Bel Air being reissued as I'm running low in the stash. The drag version had a raised suspension, and the original issues had the standard height front suspension. Maybe they will give use both. I'm not a big die cast collector but the '61 Corvette is very appealing to me, so I get at least one of those. Having owned two different '56 Ford pickups that is a maybe depending on the price.
