A fun project to update a 1950 Chevy pickup into something a little more modern.  I took the front end from a 1999 Chevy and blended it into the front of the '50 taking out some of the horizontal grill bars.  Kept the hood clean in front, extended the cab and added a custom box and dualie rear tires.  The suburban on the right is based on a 1949 Chevy that my father had and which he used for his land surveying business.  He had special graphics painted on the doors.  At the time the photo was taken I was still working on the gooseneck trailer.  The pickup has a small 5th wheel in the bed.

That is simply beautiful model building . Very subtle yet striking modifications, and the paintwork is gorgeous on both. I have a long-stalled extended cab '50 project myself, and I hope to achieve your level of success with it. VERY well done.

Nice pair! And I like the trailer too. But that extended cab dually is a work of art! It’s tough to extend the cabs on older trucks so they look real, but yours looks like it could have come from the factory.?

Your body modifications on the pickup look like they could have been factory if GM had that much foresight at the time. Gives the appearance of a 1-ton truck. The Suburban body looks great, and the paint finish looks good as well.

Excellent work Charles!! I had to look a few times at the dually to tell what you had done. It blends so well together. Excellent work on both of these!!
