PatW Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 One of the older kits with just the car and hut, no Ed Roth figure or decals sheet. I have changed the wheels/tyres to Centrelines and covered the Tiki Hut in vertical coffee sticks and converting to a bar! With my first Surfite from 2016.. With the kit comes 3 surfboards, so I added some decals from other kits and home printed ones..
TonyK Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 I really like what you've done here. Very 60's looking and your Tiki Hut is well done using your imagination for something different. I built this kit a few years ago and enjoyed it for what it was.
Zippi Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 That just looks so kewl. That little Tiki hut steals the show for me.
espo Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Great, fun looking build. This brings a smile to one's face looking at them.
PatW Posted May 21, 2022 Author Posted May 21, 2022 Thanks guys. Yes humour is one of my talents. In everything I see and hear can be turned around, so I see the funny side. So if it is how you see it different and cool and/or amusing great, my job is done!
Tom Geiger Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Great pair. I just chuckle when guys say they hate when a custom model is released because there is nothing else you can do with it!
David G. Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 You've done a great job of capturing the whimsy of the kit. Nicely Done! David G.
PatW Posted May 23, 2022 Author Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) Thanks you both Tom & David. Well what I need to do (I now it's a pun) is think outside the box with custom/fantasy/unusual kits and subjects! Edited May 23, 2022 by PatW
