The 1965 Mustang fastback is one of my favorite American cars ever since I had the Matchbox model in 1966. So when Monogram issued their 1965 Shelby GT 350, I had to have one. Build is from 1986, pictures from 2008. Metallc blue stripes are spray painted as is the rest of the body (auto lacquers from the can, trim is silver enamel  from Humbrol) – straight out-of-the-box.

Great looking paint work and cleanly detailed. The blue stripe over the white body just looks right on the Shelbys. Your little El Camino looks interesting as well.

Built one just like that back in 86, it's out in the display case, though the white has yellowed a bit...

Your Mustang turned out really nice.  Takes me back to when I had a 66 1:1 Mustang with those same stripes in black over the Tahoe Turquoise.

Thank you all guys, for the nice comments on this old build!

I have ever liked the lines of this iconic car.
