Limeyglue Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Just started working on this. So far I've lowered it all round using dropped spindles in the front and lowering blocks in the rear. Fitted the wheels from a Revell 32 Ford using modified parts box backing plates so I could use the metal pins from the kit. Thanks for looking Lee 4
dsummone Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 It looks really good, I’m not generally a big fan of lowered cars but it fits that Ford perfectly.

espo Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 I like the lowered look myself and really enjoy this and the '57 Ford coupe as well. One bit of a heads up on the front inner wheel well when lowering this kit. The inner wheel well doesn't give you much clearance for the front tires when you lower these. The wagon kit has a slighhtly better design than what Revell had in the coupe, but you may still have to do a little reshaping in the area to the rear of the front tire.

The tire just misses the inner fender how it is. Its what decided the amount of drop
dino246gt Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 I love the look of this one already, dropped and rollin' on 5 spokes! You can't go wrong with those rims, on almost everything, pre this century! Have you decided on body colours yet?

Limeyglue Posted July 31, 2022 Author Posted July 31, 2022 After quite a while I have got most of the chassis done and removed the handles and badges rmfrom the body. I have also got the paint on the body which is Tamiya pearl white and pearl yellow. Thanks for looking Lee 2
espo Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Great looking color combination. I like the way you did the roof two-tone. 1
Bainford Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Looking great! I like the direction of this build. Digging that it’s not rolling on 19s or whatever. 1
Limeyglue Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 Thanks guys enjoying the build so far. Now on with the interior
mustang1989 Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I really like that stance and the yellow laid down and covered quite nicely. Great paint scheme as well. 1
