One the dumbest ideas I've ever seen! Maybe while their at it, they can make one to go over their rearend too. ?

Whose rearend? Theirs or the cattle? I suppose that preposition is best answered by someone who has access to reliable sources...

Wow. By the time I got to this thread it has moved on to saving the planet...

Well, since the whole EV thing is ostensibly about "saving the planet", some related digressions are inevitable.  :D

Here's a brief overview of emerging carbon-neutral hydrogen electrolysis technologies, with improving efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.

Hydrogen as a fuel appeals to me primarily because it works just fine in IC engines, so I can keep driving my rorty old dinosaurs with a clear conscience.    B)

Bear in mind that these are early-days yet, and the efficiencies will inevitably get better as costs come down.

PS: Disregard the 400% click-bait thumbnail.

We've had a Stihl battery powered EV lawnmower, leafblower, and weed wacker for a couple of years now. Handles our lawn and yard cleanup just fine. Leafblower is great in the winter for getting rid of snow from the cars or sidewalk. And when it gets deep, I can shovel our driveway faster than our neighbour can snowblow his driveway.

Here’s the thing.... not everyone owns a snowplow or hires one every winter. Come down Central New York when we get heavy snow. Let’s see how fast you can finish shoveling a sidewalk and a 2 car wide, 2 1/2 car deep driveway with snow pushed in the driveway from a snowplow.  LOL!

Wait...WHAT? SNOW???  I thought New York would surely be a barren desert waste by now. And isn't Manhattan supposed to be under water pretty soon?

Nah, New York is drowning in debt, not water, haha….

You have some companies claiming to have developed batteries.  Of course, making a claim, and making it happen are two entirely different things, but that would certainly be a game changer if one of them can actually do it.

Why don't the administrators shut down all this political BS. All it does is divide people. Isn't this a forum for model car building?

Let’s not forget California Governor has put a ban on rap lyrics (Yeah.... you can’t make this sh** up).

At what point did you stop reading what this was really about? And what does this have to do with electric Dodge Chargers?

Currently there are approximately 280 million registered vehicles in the United States, the majority of which run on fossil fuel.

How many  "BILLIONS"  is 280 million???    ?

There's no such thing as "clean" coal. Not in the mining of it. Not in the burning of it. Even if carbon dioxide could be removed, there's still the sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides that are emitted.

Grab yourself a chunk of coal, set it on fire and get a breath of the smoke. Then see if you still believe it can be burned "cleanly".

I LOVE the smell of a coal-burning steam locomotive excursion train in the mountains!

Not sure I understand your question, can you elaborate?
