Just finished the Austin. Monogram kit with the engine from the AMT 33 Willys with scratch built engine mounts and gearbox crossmember.

Wheels are drag city casting Radirs. Paint is Tamiya purple base with Tamiya lilac sunburst patterns and fingerprint patterns with candy purple fogging with a coat of Tamiya pearl clear finished off with Tamiya TS 13 clear.

Thanks for looking Lee

Excellent! The stance is perfect, not all jacked up (incorrectly) too high like a lot of builders do. The paint is perfect! This is my idea of a true gasser.

Outstanding! These old compacts were popular with the gassers as they were lightweight. The paint is incredible and represents it's 1:1 origins well. I've built this kit way back in the 80s but sadly lost it in a house move. Another nice kit is the revell Thames panel gasser. Mine needs a rebuild but would be well worth it. Again, great British gasser.

Cheers, David.  ??hqdefault.jpg.afc80e9c3e7d71785de489cc98e8e6d3.jpg20150612_221623.thumb.jpg.9d538d398772bc5d780fe44c1672e767.jpg

I have one in the stash. I'm going to build mine as a old school British build with slot mags and a Jag IRS

Wow...beautiful model. I built this model when I was 15 or 16 or there abouts,  in the late 1960s, early 1970s.

Mine never looked like yours. I thought mine build was a Revell but I really can't remember what I had for lunch today let alone what I did 50 years ago.
