Hey, Revell put the spare tire in the Proper Place!

Now, I'll have to get this one too. It looks more Like a Traditional 'Landy to me, now.

Found this on another forum: https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?product_category_id=103&manufacturer_id=8184&search_direction=asc&product_type_id=1843

Says a new tool James Bond Aston Martin DB5 is coming next year.

Also a 1/24 Corvette C8 is listed but no mention of a new tool. Any idea what it could be? I cannot find a Revell Corvette C8 listed on scalemates.

Revell Germany has a long tradition of doing their later year new tool/revised tooling announcements on New Year's Day. Hannants usually leaks that list early...and Bob's your Uncle. Tune into German modeling websites on January 1st at 1 minute after Midnight to see the official Revell announcement.

I see. Not long until we know then.

I don't see the '70 Torino Cobra rerelease on there.

Also, shouldn't this be 1/25?.......

Yeah seems inaccurate. As @niteowl7710 wrote it is best to wait until January 1st for an official announcement.

The Torino reissue is a Revell U.S. kit in our boxes with a North American stock number.  I'm not sure how many (if any) of those Revell kits Hannants actually carries.

Cautiously excited for the DB5. I'm hoping it's not too toylike and there's the ability to "debondify" it, or that they'll release a non-MI5 version as well. Of course I want to build the Goldfinger car, but I want to build an Almond Green over oxblood "civilian" car too. Whatever we get has to be better than the Doyusha abomination!

Edit: Something about this seemed familiar, so I started digging a little. Revell announced a new-tool Bond DB5 in 2017, but the licensing fell through. I'm guessing this kit has probably been waiting in the wings for a while waiting for that licensing deal. Hopefully we get it this time!

I dont know what is special about the Bond version I have not watched the movie but I think it would be unwise not to plan for a stock version too, it's the only version I have interest in.

Count me in as well among those who would love to see the Aston Martin minus machine guns and ejector seat. Granted, what I want most is a DB4 or even a DB4GT Zagato but a nice stock DB5 would be a joy.

DB5? Well well. Count me among the cautiously optimistic.

Just hope it's done more to new-tool 911 standards than E-Type Jag.  Better late than never on a C8, too, looks priced beyond an easy-click anyway.

Man, the boxart '71 Mustang looks fantastic.

Yeah, it does! I hope they do another generation Mustang to this standard! Especially, a late model. As nice as this kit looks, I'm gonna pass on it.

Your lips to God's ears on the late-model Mustang.  Ford just keeps throwing out opportunities, so maybe Revell will finally bring out a half-decent S650 by around 2025 or so.

I'm liking these flatroof cars better and better in my dotage, though, so I'll be happy to snatch up a '71 or two (or three with powertrain variations)...

Yes, the Bond DB5 (cool!).   Hope it actually has a stand-alone scale engine under the hood (oooppppsss....did I actually just say that???) :)

But did anybody also notice this listing?

Gift Set James Bond "Ford Mustang Mach 1" (Due September 2023) NEW TOOL

I've pretty much told everyone to eventually expect a second hit off the '71 Boss 351 tool, and that it would likely be a SCJ Mach 1 or one of the other 429 Cobra Jet options.  But I certainly did not expect it to debut under Bond licensing.  Let's hope this website posting is fully accurate information and a preview of what to actually expect next year rather than a hasty "jump to conclusions" misdirection on my part....

Pretty sure he typoed from "351" or just crossed mental rolodex cards. ?

I'll say this: blow up the pic of the parts and you see two distinct radiator fan shrouds down to the left...

Thanks Chuck.   And yeh, that seems to happen a lot these days!....TB
