Rocking Rodney Rat Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 This was built for the TROG Community Build going on listed lower down on the home page. I started with the olde Revell parts pack T frame recently re-issued as part of the Mooneyes Dragster kit from Atlantis Models. The flathead is from the Revell '40 Ford, wide-five wheels from the AMT '36 Ford coupe. Other parts from the parts box. Weathering is a combination of a flat black wash, Rust-All and a final dusting of Doc O'Brien's Weathering Powders (available from Micro-Mark).... This was a quick build I did over the Xmas>News Years break. Thanks for checking in.... -RRR 13
M W Elky Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 Wow that’s really neat and the weathering work is spot on . Thanks for sharing, cool idea , and a great way to use up some spare parts
Lobo2me Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 This baby looks like it was rode hard and put away wet! I love it!! Well done!!!!
Dennis Lacy Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Love it!!! Killer repurposing of that frame and chassis parts.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Go Rat! Like your builds. This one is nasty!
Zippi Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 The "Sand Flee" is looking like it's seen a race or two. Love that ole fatty. Nicely done.
Speedpro Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 You captured the essence of "TROG" perfectly. Well done RRR
Kit Karson Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Some one less than a Gentleman built it! Someone a real racer drove it, more than once! And once he got it going straight hung on for dear life! A sand flee would be jealous as to how far and how fast this sand digger can cross the beach! Time spent collecting the parts verses the time to build it: 1:7... -KK
