JTalmage Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Hey all. Last year I was digging thru a parts box at a friends house and came across 98% of a Monogram Little T original issue. Unfortunately it was all in parts as it has fallen completely apart. I thought it'd be pretty neat to reassemble it as it was before it was banished to the parts box to fall completely apart. The only liberty I took was painting the radiator and hoses because I didn't like the look of red thru the radiator shell. Thanks to some help from some people on the Scale Survivors Facebook group I was able to locate the remaining parts I needed, along with a box and instructions. All of the glue had decomposed and even parts that were still together had to be taken apart and reglued. It's absolutely not a show winner, but I didn't want it to be. Hope ya enjoy it 7
Joe Nunes Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Nice restoration! I always like seeing this model. Thanks for sharing background and photos. ? Joe
espo Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Great job restoring this model. While this is one of the earliest T-Bucket kits I can remember this still looks very current when done this way.
Dave Darby Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Looking good Jesse! BTW, you'd be surprized how well you can touch up that chrome with a Molotow marker. 1

I considered it. I really did. But, I like the charm this one has. I need a turtle deck and a windshield and I can build the blue "Drag" version. Which will be nicer than this one. 2
TooOld Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I like it just the way it is , great save Jesse ! Leaving it in it's original condition was the right call !
Tcoat Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Beautiful redo I lusted after the Big T back when I was a kid and was so disappointed when I got the Little T for Christmas. Still have some parts around someplace I believe.
Mr. Metallic Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 With the parts 98% there, it deserved to be put back together, faded chrome and all. It looks great. 1

Brudda Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Cool! I just look at this kit and feel like a kid again. Really cool!!!!! 1
