doorsovdoon Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 1970 Impala using the chassis from the 1967 Supernatural Impala. The '70 Monte Carlo might have been a better option but I couldn't find one at the time. The '67 chassis fitted nicely without any issue, I just had to cut the floor out of the old promo style interior tub, cut the inner fenders off the '67 and modify the firewall cowl. The '70 wheels had pegs behind them for the old metal axles, I cut them off and they fit straight to the '67 wheel backs. Very enjoyable kit-bash. 7

happy grumpy Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Great job on the impala Gareth. The extra work paid of. It makes a more accurate model and enjoyable to look at. Thanks for sharing. 1
TarheelRick Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, nice, clean build. 1
Kah puts Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Absolutely stunning build, your photography look like original showroom brochures, bravo ? 1
Spottedlaurel Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Great job on this one Gareth, the final result looks like it was meant to be. I remember the chasssi going together nicely on the '67 Impala SS I built which looks to be similar to your Supernatural donor. 1
The Modeling Hermit Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 The only way it could be more authentic, is if you used a shrink ray on a real car...or did you...?. 1
bogger44 Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Nice kitbash, that's a beauty! Sharp blackwash on the grille, the vinyl top is a great addition too. 1
