Man I completely forgot about that kit!  I built that one as a kid!   I remember thinking the boat was so cool.   Wow,  brings back memories.

Yup, I built one as a kid as well, still think it’s a cool kit.

Not sure how rare it is, but it's been in my possession the longest. I bought it in the late seventies from a toy store in Hickory, NC. I've never built it for some reason and never seen one built by anyone else. It was issued in 1971 and never rleased again

OMG that is AWESOME!  I've never seen it before! Was just about to head over to eBay to hunt for when when I saw that it's 1/16, which is of no interest or use to me...BUT! I don't see any reason I can't do the same thing in 1/25! Thanks so much for posting it! B)

Italeri Ferrari 275GTB. My LHS acquired a nice collection of vintage kits several years ago and they had this really rare kit priced at $39.00. I jumped on it, as well as a Fujimi Enthusiast Dino and Porsche 911 Turbo for about the same price.  Online pic below, I'm trapped under a napping cat on the couch and don't dare disturb him to take a picture of the one in my stash!

I have that too in the stash, so between us I think it's now disqualified.  The Spyder is more rare, but someone else posted their build, so whatever.

I have a partial kit of Italeri's 250SWB.  Also have the Testors 250 CA Spyder.  I could go on....

Geez. You guys are killing me.

On this thread alone I've seen at least 20 more kits I absolutely "need" to have. ;)

I know right? ?

Like this one, we saw it on another thread in the last year, so I hunted one down.

Someone in the antique auto club said he wanted to get rid of his models.  He listed off the common ones and I was like bored, then he said Countach and the scale, so I didn't know it existed before this.  The funny car was not complete, so don't get excited.

Someone asked if trucks can be included, why not?

As Ace said, this is another one I *had to* get.  I've seen pictures, not a great rendition, but still cool.

I never would have thought these would be "collectible".

I have a factory sealed IMC ford GT 40 Mk2 Gulf version molded in color.  I'm debating weather I want to build it or not.

I say YES!  I think that was the purpose of models to begin with, whoever inherits it won't know and will throw it out. ?

Someone came to a model club meeting, his deceased dad's collection had some cool stuff.  His dad had started this IMC kit, but it was easily salvageable.  Because it was started, got for free.  It was a challenge to build, so be warned.

Yeah, I'm still chasing one of those...but I found the horribly inaccurate Boomerang and C111.  :D

Nice.

That Cheetah is rumored to be a reasonably accurate rendition. I just passed on one not too terribly spendy last week, but I have the HRM version.

That may be the best looking build of that kit I've seen yet.  :D

Some time back I scored a gluebomb and a few days later a reasonably priced virgin, then pretty much the same 2fer deal with the MPC clear-body version.

Also. these Revell Husqvarna dirt bikes 1n 1/25 that came in a few Revell kits years ago. I would still like to know what happened to the tooling.

It is still around. This was a few years ago.

Was just going to post the Off Road set, picked one up about a month ago. Looks like it's part of the old Desert Rat kit that came with the Datsun and one bike.

I have unbuilt AMT 62 and 63 Fairlanes and just acquired a 64.  Also a 62 Meteor.

I just acquired an unbuilt 64 Galaxie convertible and a 59 Mercury hardtop.

Some of the hardest-to-find kits I have are the Revell VW Corrado and BMW M Coupe (Z3).

I have most of the IMC Ford GT kits, along with the Chaparral and Lola T-70.

This car is almost identical to my first car. It had a v-8 but it was a 2 bbl small block (probably a 289), with a 3 on the tree and close to the same color (like a phlegm green). The very embodiment of a grocery getter. It was a fastback though. Can;t remember if it was a 500 or not. $100 out the door. I did buy it off my cousin.
