milo1303s Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Love it would like to see it on some chrome steelies and white walls !!!!
slusher Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 James I really admire your custom touches on the front bumper and the rear section of your nomad. You definitely have skill and vision brother.
BDSchindler Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 I am loving this! But then, I do love a good custom and this is really shaping up to be one of the best ones I've seen in a while!

When I started this it was going to be a more modern custom, hence the wheel choice. But I liked the steelie idea and have found some WW tires to match. I'll share that asap. 1

NitroMarty Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Personally I much prefer the modern wheels on the original mock-up. In my opinion they better suit the modern custom vibe of the car.
milo1303s Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 You could grab a set of these Revell chrome paint the rims 22's https://www.ebay.com/itm/325618963712?itmmeta=01J4MXT8SB5XBNQ9KY7WQFNW8Z&hash=item4bd0671500:g:5r4AAOSwOYxkd5Ry
James2 Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 I do appreciate the kind comments, But I gotta say this is why I don't do many build threads. Everybody's got a better idea, a different point of view, you should do this suggestion. I like those wheels, I like the old ones, you should paint it black. Actually, I can't believe someone hasn't posted a picture of their 56 in my thread to show everyone what they did! I get it, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but why can't you just take it for what it is? There won't be any more added to this thread, maybe I'll share it when completed! Thanks again...

Sorry you feel that way. I like everything you have done so far. I think the way you did the tail lights and front end add an elegance to the lines of the car. I like your choice of rims and tires. Not every car needs 22's. Hope to see more of it. 1
Steve H Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Hi Rooster, I love that Tamiya colour, and it really looks great with the custom work you’ve done. I hope you will keep posting updates. Personally, I think both wheel choices will look great, your build, your way. Please post it under glass when complete so we can all see the finished product. It’s going to be a beauty for sure. Cheers, Steve 1

It's your thread, you can make it known right off the bat what, if any, comments/criticism/suggestions/etc are welcome. Heck, it even says so on the main page for the WIP section. I've got this build in my notifications so I'm updated as soon as there's a reply. Hopefully you'll update as you go. Thank you for what you've shared so far.

customline Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Late to the party, I am glad I found this now. I think the body mods are really well conceived and executed. I love it!
James2 Posted August 15, 2024 Author Posted August 15, 2024 Just to say thanks for the kind comments I do appreciate them. I will get back to this eventually, right now, I don't have any clean side window glass. So, I need to find some at a swap meet or panelize the wagon. Both options are possible, I am in no small hurry to do either...
David G. Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 James2, I really like the custom work did and color you chose for this build. Thanks for taking the time to share with us what you've done so far. If you choose not to share more of your delightful build, I understand. Posting in-progress updates of any art form can be an intensely personal form of expression that leaves one feeling a bit exposed to unsolicited advice. Most folks mean well but they may not understand how personally some others may be effected by their suggestions. If you feel bothered by others offering what they see as positive feedback and suggestions then not sharing works-in-progress may be a good decision. Whatever you decide, please know that I did enjoy the photos you've posted so far and would like to see more if you feel comfortable sharing them. Thanks, David G. 1
