While the engineering is amazing, it's the insanely beautiful paint colors and quality that impress me the most! Outstanding.

Hi Claude, There is a lot of creativity and excellent craftsmanship on the salt - you've taken it to another level.  I like it ... a lot!

Thanks my friend for the shout out and the gentle shove.  I guess I need to put some of that knowledge to use and finish something, I have an AMT Studebaker and I know how to use it.

Hi Steve!

Happy you like it. You were my "first customer" to satisfy, so I'm glad it meets your expectations.

Rest assured that I did not meant to give a shove, as gentle as it could be. I'm sincerely happy to rely upon the rule book you've kindly sent me.. It will avoid me having a true salt pilgrim looking at one of my build someday and say" You know this thing would not pass inspection?".

If such a thing should happen with one of my previous salt cars... at least I'll be able to acknowledge and discuss the specific reasons why LOL!

Regards,

What a weapon!! That's a brilliant build Claude.

Thank you David!

I must say that it looks "compact", and believe me, getting it all to fit inside the rather short wheelbase VW van was a challenge. Not a milimiter was lost...

That would take more balls than a bowling alley to drive!  Love the creativity.  I have an Allison Salt Flat project sitting on the shelf of doom, so I'm looking at your details for the engine.

What everyone else said, times a dozen! Very cool outside the box - van thinking. It's good knowing I'm not crazy, that others, or you in this case, think much like I do. I've got the same van kit, in planning a mid-engine, funny car like drag racing machine. But, thanks to you, I now have some aerodynamic body modification ideas for it. To me, these wild, endless possibilities, are what I like the most about model building.

Another winner!! Sectioning the body rather than chopping the top really makes the look of the car. And of course the motor-vation is a great way to fill up the inside. LSR cars are probably my favorite racers and this is really a hit.

Thank you Scott!

You are right: the packaging of the powertrain was quite a challenge...
