avidinha Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 I built this box stock mostly to try out this prismatic paint. Prismatic paint usually looks best on cars with a lot of curves or cars with a lot of sharp edges, and this car has both. There is a lot more green in person that the camera wasn't picking up. 8
bbowser Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Cool car! I always thought they looked very much like a Bugatti. Nice work.
AMT68 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Beautiful paint work on a model I've never seen before.
Bugatti Fan Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Lovely model and beautifully finished. It has taken its styling cues from Bugatti alright. Evident are hints of the Bugatti Atlantic body style and the Bugatti Royale styled wheels. I had thought about getting this kit and doing a retro Bugatti Atlantic from it. A change of grille and engine to start. Edited July 24, 2023 by Bugatti Fan
espo Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The body lines look great.
happy grumpy Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Beautiful build and the paint job is stunning.
ewetwo Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 I just got one of these to use the color shift paint on. Your's look great.
Rattlecan Dan Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I like these cars. You made a cool car even cooler! Nice job.
Kah puts Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 What a pleasant surprise, looks great, maybe an outdoor photo please ?
Bugatti Fan Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 The Chrysler Atlantic was a prototype show car that was finished in a gold metallic colour. I think it was just a one off exercise taking cues from Bugatti classics of old for the body styling.

ncbuckeye67 Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 That looks amazing! I picked up one of these kits at Ollie's awhile back, and was wondering what to do with it (and the color-changing paint I've had sitting around). I may have to copy this! Thanks for the tip! I had no idea how important the curves are, for that type of paint.
