I built this as a kid back in 1973. This time I think that I did it Justice! Paint is tamiya metallic orange with testors wet look clear from the rattle can. a lite polish with tamiya compounds. Wheels are done with metalizer aluminum, tires were given a flat clear coat.  black parts are semi gloss black.

I've loved this kit, since it was released. It was only about five years ago that I finally got a very clean built-up, which was the first one I've ever owned. Earlier this year, I got one that's near mint for a great price. I love the color you used! Nice work!

This kit , and your build...which is great by the way...always brings back one of my fondest memories of all my years modeling.  Found this kit as a "glue bomb" at one of my local hobby shops. Salvaged it and put a nice paint job on it similar to yours. (got a pic somewhere)  When finished I put it on display at another hobby shop. Another modeler was admiring my build and commented he had the kit as a kid but traded it off and wished he had it back.  Well....after some investigating it turns out that it  actually was his  kit he built as a 13yr old.  We still have a good laugh about it 20yrs later.

Found it...paint is a combination of Tamiya clear yellow and red over gold with clear top coat. Black is Tamiya x-18 with some silver added.

Beautiful work!  I love seeing these built.  I have managed to gather enough bits and pieces over the years to hopefully build one someday soon :)
