happy grumpy Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Something different. Having been raised on a farm, I wanted to have some tractors in my collection. I already have "le petit gris" and the Porsche (which appears in the last 2 photos). I went for a dirty look, what good is a tractor if you don't use it ?. Build is stock, the weathering is mostly Vallejo mud and dust. This kit is very easy to build since it more modern than some older Heller kit. Had a lot of fun putting it together. The shack is scratch built with balsa wood and corrugated craft paper. Thanks for your time. 9
vincen47 Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Excellent all around. Great weathering and an awesome display with the shed. Makes me want to get one of those kits.
Jim B Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Awesome tractor. It looks right at home on your "farm". All you need are a few cows.?
64Comet404 Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Great looking build, have one of these kits on the bench as well!
Kit Basher Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 They all look great, and the shed is awesome. Nice mud!
Street Rod Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 All great looking tractors, very realistic dirt and weathering, looks like they’ve been out doing work. The shed is a great addition!
1959scudetto Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 Very nice tractors, Mario - this 1980's MF dates backto the late 80's/early 90's, IIRC - it was kind of "Snap-loc/Easy Fit" or the like, but you turned this oversimplified machine into a convincing replica. 1
stavanzer Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Great Tractors. I had missed this the first time you posted. Truly Excellent Weathering. Good Show. 1
TooOld Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Excellent work Mario , that mud and dust is very realistic ! Great looking tractor ! 1
Bucky Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 Beautifully nasty tractors! Takes me back to my youth. I have a few of these kits. I may need to park the car and truck builds and get started building tractors! If only Heller would produce a 1948 Allis Chalmers WD45....... 1
nyguy Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 Nicely Done. Superb weathering. Looks like it just came off the fields. 1
TarheelRick Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 Have to agree with all the above positive comments. Very well build tractors and shed, excellent weathering. I also have the Ferguson kit awaiting to be built. That style tractor is the one my farming neighbor taught me how to drive and plow a field, really heady stuff for a 14-year-old. 1
TNT Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Cool build and dio. We live in farm country so we have them around. Keep thinking i am going to build a tractor. Really would like a foord 8n jubilee kit. And any older john deere. 1
DANGERUS Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I just picked up this kit myself and hope it turns out anywhere near as nice as your build. I especially love the diorama and the grey Ferguson peeking out of the barn. Right now I'm looking for paint for the Massey. Which paint did you use?

I used Tamiya lacquer spray pure red TS 86. It's a high gloss colour so I faded it with a light over spray of vallejo dust highly diluted for a in use look. hope this helps. cheers.
