Steve H Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Hi Martin! I would say your “transformation” is a definite improvement!! ? To see what you started with, and the incredible work of art you created, simply amazing. You probably get sick of hearing how much your builds look like real cars, but man… they do look like you could turn the key and mash the throttle. Beautiful work my friend. Cheers, Steve 1 1
Chris in Berwyn Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Sweet mother of pearl!! Everything about that build is FANTASTIC!!! 1
1971Hans Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 When I saw that red model, I thougt : that's far from the real car pictures this person posted... Reading on, I realised that the real car pictures are in fact..? Well done I should say, but there are no words for this ! 1
STU111 Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Well, if l could find a way to shrink myself to the same scale as that Corvette, I reckon I could get in the drivers seat, and that it would start up and l could drive off in it, it’s that realistic! Cheers, Stu. 1
echo Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 There is not much to add to all the positive comments others have posted. This has to be the most realistic 1/25 scale Corvette I have seen. The photos are so well done and add to the effect. A masterful well thought out build. 1
Ragtop Man Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Just..... Wow. I had to really study the first pic to see if it was a model, or 1:1 - the build completely had me. How much work was it to integrate the assembly and snap kits? I started grokking one and ended up tossing it back in the box. You clearly solved any interface issues! Side note: Will you be making the wheels available... and possibly in other scales? For as popular as the Corvette is, there is a pressing lack of quality aftermarket detail parts for the larger scales. 1

The fit between the 67 chassis and the Snap-Tite body is not perfect but about as decent as any Revell kit. I used the seats and door panels from the Snap-Tite kit on the tub from the 67 and I didn't have to trim the tub at all to fit inside the body. 1
spencer1984 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 They don't get any cleaner, incredible job on this! 1
carrucha Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Awesome build! Excellent job combining parts from different kits. 1
Jon Cole Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) I know, it is oft said that "I thought it was a real car". Well, I really did think it was a 1:1 Corvette! Outstanding job, Martin! Edited July 15, 2024 by Jon Cole 1
BK9300 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Everyone has already said it all - a superb build, with a touch of humour in your second pic! 1
Bills72sj Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 All of the above. It took a good look to not see a real car in those 1st few photos. 1
TooOld Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Holy moly that's one gorgeous model ! Using the snap-tite body makes a great starting point and your extra details are outstanding . I especially like the subtle change of thinning the edges of the hood and adding the Harrison tank to the inner fender . . . excellent work ! 1
Greasefinger Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Hi, is that a diorama or real building on the background? Great car, great model and also great photos. 1
Chinacar Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Stellar rendition! Your photography skills are also amazing Martin. Super well done 1
Mattilacken Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Such a great build! The finished product looks far from what it started life as! Great work! 1
Jim Whalen Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Beautiful model of a landmark Corvette - I really enjoyed looking at the pictures of your model and learning how you achieved the outcome. Well done! 1

It's a printout of a photo for the background. The road and sidewalk are also just printouts with the sidewalk photo wrapped around a piece of foamcore. 1
