Hawk312 Posted Friday at 03:04 PM Posted Friday at 03:04 PM Did this in between commissioned builds. It is nostalgic for me as I remember building this back when i was a kid and the kit was an annual kit. It is the snapper kit, so not much under the hood. I kinda just threw this one together quick. 13
lordairgtar Posted Friday at 05:29 PM Posted Friday at 05:29 PM Nothing wrong with snappers. Great looking Vette.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted Friday at 10:04 PM Posted Friday at 10:04 PM Turned out pretty good! Snapper kits can be made to look real nice with some patience.
AMT68 Posted Saturday at 01:54 AM Posted Saturday at 01:54 AM Paint looks sensational as does the mirrored t-tops.
espo Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Beautiful paint finish and partial to white cars since they always look clean and blend well in traffic and don't seem to get noticed if you know what I mean.
Rattlecan Dan Posted Saturday at 05:51 PM Posted Saturday at 05:51 PM Have to agree with Spike. That is one clean-looking build. Nice work.
TransAmMike Posted Saturday at 10:11 PM Posted Saturday at 10:11 PM Really good clean looking (the white) '81 ya got there David!!
angelo7 Posted yesterday at 01:44 AM Posted yesterday at 01:44 AM Those side exhaust look perfect. Back in their days they were something special. You are a great painter too.
Andria H Posted yesterday at 02:12 AM Posted yesterday at 02:12 AM Nice. I'll have to try one. I actually love this era C3 but don't fit in any Vette easily.
Zippi Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Nice looking little build you got there David. Super sharp looking.
Hawk312 Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago Thanks again guys! I might break some hearts here, but this is what I used for the finish, both the White and the Black on the tops. It went on really well and rubbed out perfectly. No primer, no clear! 🤯 It was way different than my normal process since it was something I just wanted to whip together quickly.
