Hawk312 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Did this in between commissioned builds. It is nostalgic for me as I remember building this back when i was a kid and the kit was an annual kit. It is the snapper kit, so not much under the hood. I kinda just threw this one together quick. 18
Dragonhawk1066 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Turned out pretty good! Snapper kits can be made to look real nice with some patience.
espo Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Beautiful paint finish and partial to white cars since they always look clean and blend well in traffic and don't seem to get noticed if you know what I mean.
Rattlecan Dan Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Have to agree with Spike. That is one clean-looking build. Nice work.
TransAmMike Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Really good clean looking (the white) '81 ya got there David!!
angelo7 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Those side exhaust look perfect. Back in their days they were something special. You are a great painter too.
Andria H Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Nice. I'll have to try one. I actually love this era C3 but don't fit in any Vette easily.
Zippi Posted Sunday at 11:08 AM Posted Sunday at 11:08 AM Nice looking little build you got there David. Super sharp looking.
Hawk312 Posted Sunday at 03:07 PM Author Posted Sunday at 03:07 PM Thanks again guys! I might break some hearts here, but this is what I used for the finish, both the White and the Black on the tops. It went on really well and rubbed out perfectly. No primer, no clear! 🤯 It was way different than my normal process since it was something I just wanted to whip together quickly.
STU111 Posted Monday at 05:07 AM Posted Monday at 05:07 AM Crisply built and glassy white paint makes this vette stand out for me. Top stuff . 👍🏻
ford fan Posted Wednesday at 07:17 AM Posted Wednesday at 07:17 AM Superb Vette, the paint job is gorgeous !
Lobo2me Posted Wednesday at 03:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:57 PM Great job! Krylon never looked so good!!!
