m3fan Posted August 20 Posted August 20 After a great show of real hot rods I realized I haven’t done many full rendered Deuces. This made me take stock of stuff in my stockpile and decided to use the AMT 32 ford roadster for my build. I know the issues with the look of it being sectioned but I think this worked to my advantage. My goal was for a gentleman/ elegant style Deuce. I used the revell interior , wheels and tires and radius arms. It is a curb side as I soon realized the hemi in kit only works without hood sides 🤷🏼♂️ The paint is a Ford mustang color mixed up at local auto body shop. Feel free to let me know if description meets results 18
Flatout Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Beautiful Deuce Roadster…love everything about it. Amazing how good the AMT 32 Fords can look with a little extra work and some kitbashing . Well done!😎 3
STU111 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Beautifully built classy looking roadster. Love this one. 👍🏻
espo Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Beautiful paint finish and color. Like the stance and the wheel & tire combination.
Ulf Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Incredibly nice, I had to look longer before I believed you that it is AMT's classic kit.
bill-e-boy Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Nice looking rod and a cool colour too. I have built a few of the AMT 32's over the years and the first car kit I built was a Phaeton.
m3fan Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 Thanks all for your comments. This was one of thosequick builds that actually worked out!
NOBLNG Posted August 29 Posted August 29 That is one gorgeous looking deuce there Russell. Well done!👍😎
Dennis Lacy Posted Sunday at 03:50 AM Posted Sunday at 03:50 AM Great looking roadster and extra impressive considering it’s an AMT body. I had written AMT 32’s off years ago as Revell put out their far superior line, but every once in a while someone comes along and proves you can make a nice looking model out of them. The Revell interior and wheels help a bunch as does the great color choice.
XYHARRY Posted Monday at 08:46 AM Posted Monday at 08:46 AM Very nice street rod there Russell. Those wheels are great, I used them on a rebuild of my 29 pickup. Colour and stance are spot on. Well done.
