Rob Hall Posted Sunday at 02:19 PM Posted Sunday at 02:19 PM Seems there were drag versions w/ 421 in 2dr sedan form.. 3
Mark Posted Sunday at 02:34 PM Posted Sunday at 02:34 PM (edited) There were maybe a dozen or so of those 421 sedans, plus a couple of station wagons. They retained the transaxle setup when originally built, though most were converted to a conventional transmission and rear axle later. Edited Sunday at 02:34 PM by Mark Spelling 2
ChrisBcritter Posted Sunday at 02:57 PM Posted Sunday at 02:57 PM Uh oh. Hope Round2 can fix the wheel covers before production: The rest looks good, and the grille is a big improvement over the original. The '32 Tudor has a much better windshield frame than the old sedan/Victoria/5-window did - thumbs up on that one. Love seeing the '63 Tempest return - hopefully we'll get a coupe next? The vent windows still aren't quite right but it's not a big problem to fix.

chryslerjunkandstuff Posted Sunday at 05:03 PM Posted Sunday at 05:03 PM Dude.. '72 Duster, '60 Chevy wagon, '27 Ford T Touring, Indy Drag Combo, a pair of '51 Bel Air hardtops, a pair of '64 Barracudas, a pair of '72 Jeepsters, a pair of '71 Cyclones, and *HOLY MOLY* a pair of those '63 Tempests WILL be acquired by me! Those dudes at Round2 are killin it!! That Barracuda, and especially that Tempest - seriously, who woulda thought they'd EVER resurrect THAT - give me hope that they can, and probably, hopefully, will bring back something like the '68 Torino Pace Car someday, or a convertible version of their excellent '68 GTO.. 3
rickcaps55 Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Ho boy when do we get the 65 Cuda i have been waiting for that one i see 4 to start with and that 63 Lemans that's a top one with me to.
Mark C. Posted Sunday at 06:10 PM Posted Sunday at 06:10 PM 1 hour ago, ChrisBcritter said: OK, '60 hubcap: The kit parts don’t look to be accurate representations of either. Thanks for pointing that out. I am super super happy to see this come out, and will buy multiple copies regardless, but I really hope they can correct this before production starts. Ideally I would like to see accurate steel wheels with both full wheel covers and hubcaps available as options, but I would be happy with just one, as long as it is accurate.

Oh, yes, I'll be getting a couple at least. The original kit/promo had its share of problems, like the sloping roof and lack of door opening lines in the greenhouse, but it looks like they've been addressed. Just hope the '59 El Camino chassis will be an easy fit.
John M. Posted Sunday at 06:41 PM Posted Sunday at 06:41 PM My favs are the 60 Chevy wagon and the mid 60s Barracuda.

Personally I'm not a fan of altered wheelbase cars, I guess I prefer style over performance 😉 BTW love the photo you posted Rob. That car looks just right! Radretireddad Posted Sunday at 07:27 PM Posted Sunday at 07:27 PM (edited) Everything looks like it’s coming along quite nicely. I’m in for almost one of everything. I was wondering when someone was going to do a John Wick Mustang. The body improvements look great but just like the newly released ‘66 kits, the outdated chassis will need to be up sourced from the ‘67 kit or the Revell Boss 302. Just depends on your build style. Personally I'll have 2 of the AMT '66 Mustangs on the go soon and I'll just replace the inner fenders. I'm sure what's in the box will be just fine for 95% of the people who actually buy the kit. 1

OldNYJim Posted yesterday at 02:47 AM Posted yesterday at 02:47 AM I wonder if there’s any difference between the Tiger Shark and the Python? Love the HW box art! I’m in for a Stogie or two too!
Robberbaron Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM '63 Lemans came out of left field for me. Never would have guessed that most of the original tooling survived. Suspecting that a coupe version will be announced in the near future, a la the '64 Cutlass and '68 Coronet. And I agree, the mind starts racing regarding other similar scenarios. First thought that comes to my mind is the '65 Falcon. 1
stavanzer Posted yesterday at 03:06 AM Posted yesterday at 03:06 AM I think the Last Hit on the Falcon tooling was either '68 or '69. That might be what is left in the Toolbank.
stavanzer Posted yesterday at 03:39 AM Posted yesterday at 03:39 AM And here is the Original '27 T Touring. Many of the custom parts on this kit were never seen again. This might be where round2 started cloning parts from. I am just guessing, here. I have no insider Info. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/show-rods/amt-xr-6-27-t--ford/
slusher Posted yesterday at 03:51 AM Posted yesterday at 03:51 AM Looking forward to John Wick Mustang!
Ulf Posted yesterday at 06:51 AM Posted yesterday at 06:51 AM (edited) Let's hope for an eBay edition. https://bringatrailer.com/2008/11/07/long-lost-racer-1963-pontiac-lemans-super-duty/ Edited yesterday at 07:26 AM by Ulf 1
fairlane1320 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I was really excited to see this, then I realized it's the same old crappy 1/27 scale kit. 😣
