While the background looks really unreal, that would be the best metallic paint I've ever seen on a model, and there are other fine details that tell me it's real.

The reason I voted model is because the background looks fake.

The background could be, probably concrete that had been shaped before drying, just like the outer surface of "The Tree of Life" at Disney's Animal Kingdom, that started out as a retired oil rig
