So...

I did a thing.

20230408_144722.jpg

2022 Mach-E GT in Shadow Black

Full front end PPF and a light tint on the front door windows. Did a proper clean and a ceramic coat today.

Should be a fun daily.

Truck is going to feel neglected. Better make some Home Depot plans for the weekends so its not feeling too ignored.

Changed the 2009 Chevy Malibu out for a 2011 GMC Acadia.  The new vehicle has a lot less miles and is in nice shape.  Never wanted an SUV, but I have to say I'm enjoying it so far. Nice amount of space and good power.

Here's what I drive for fun. Currently has the original 240 6-banger. Just a little rust in the bed and a small hole in the core support. Plans are for a 5.0 or 351 Windsor. I have the original sales order and plates from the dealership in north Texas. The picture of the front is right after I bought it a few years ago.

That is a cool looking truck. I'd totally drive that thing as is.

Thanks. It is a great truck and I don't have any plans to do anything paint and body-wise. I have put new shocks on it and new upholstery, carpet, visors, etc. Texas sun is hard on anything not metal.

Next plans are to replace the flat glass (I have tinted glass that came with the truck), windshield is new. While I'm at it I'll get the window channels, wing window rubber and associated hardware.

Nothing exciting... I drive a 2006 Scion Xb with 105k on it. No problems, I've had it now for around 12 years.

My wife has a 2017 Crosstrek with about 26k on it. She loves it. 20230419_153742.thumb.jpg.17605f15ad2e0e7b93b1c832da470319.jpg

This is my "Sunday" car. Originally from LA but bought from Texas before coming to NZ

Photo taken in late 2016 just before I partly pulled it apart to install a XJ6 Jag front end into it. It now has American TT2 wheel with narrow white walls and a bit lower in the front

On June 3 2023 I say good bye to my 2004 Chevrolet Malibu . Trading it in for a clean 2009 Impala LT which will be done on the 3rd. Though the Malibu still runs/drives great with just under 205,000 miles on it ,  But because the airbag light stays on now plus the jack points are rotted off on the rear it was time to let it go. I actually am getting the Impala from the same used car seller so the Malibu will get resold by him (car looks much the same as when I bought it about 3 years ago.

Bought this 2023 Subaru BRZ as a replacement for my ‘04 Mazdaspeed Miata last week. I’m loving it! It reminds me a lot of a first generation RX-7 or 944, but with modern updates and a weird engine. Now to remove the mods from the Miata so I can sell it.

Nice Tim!  Are you going to go and watch it come down the line?

I recently got a new job and the commute is kind of a long one.  Well, long for me anyways. About 25 miles each way.

My current vehicle is a 2013 Toyota Highlander.

I'm probably going to trade it in for something a little smaller and better on gas.

Nice!

Our first 2024 Mustang here at the dealership will be a Dark Horse in Vapor Blue. Order is in, but hasn't been scheduled yet.

I drive a 2017 Chrysler 300s, a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, a 1968 Imperial Crown convertible, a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500, a 1989 Chrysler TC by Maserati, and a 1990 Jaguar XJS V-12 convertible. Not all at the same time, though!! LoL

Dan....mine is Vapor Blue as well.  I really wanted Grabber Blue Metallic (I was apparently well known at the Ford Design Center for my preference for Grabber Blue Mustangs), but my wife did not like that color.  I deferred to Vapor Blue at order time not knowing what it actually looked like out in the real world.  Now that i've seen it (on 2023 Escapes and Lincoln Corsairs) it is much too gray for my liking.  Oh well...rowing that V8 through the gears should more than make up for it!

Best....TB

Tim....no, I've been retired for nearly ten years now; there's a new crew running the show there these days.

Wonder if i could convince my wife to take a road trip to Vermont....naw..no chance of that; too bad.

(For those of you who do not know Tim, i recall getting a ride in Tim's new 1976 Black Cutlass Supreme Brougham, one of the sharpest looking cars of the entire 1973-77 Colonnade era Cutlasses i ever saw.  Come to think of it, the velour-like pillowed black interior was really cool too...)  TB
