ShawnS
HI guys I've got a couple of works in progress with completed engine bays. First is Tamiya's BMW 635csi GpA. I added a few parts from an incomplete Fujimi 635 kit to get a little extra detail that Tamiya couldn't be bothered with. And finally Hasegawa's Jaguar XJS TWR HE. Plumbed and wired with some added extras to fill out the engine bay a little more. Without the air intake ducts With the ducts added. It's got scratch built twin oil coolers mounted at the front and it took a long time to sort all of that plumbing out. You cant see the twin electric fans and some of the other things that I added but they are there. Cheers ShawnS

Is the Hasegawa kit expensive? Are there others perhaps cheaper?
DiscoRover007
Have to repaint the body for this kit but the engine and interior is basically complete. Here’s how she looks. Added ignition cables and wiring, battery cables and hose clamps. Engine paint is MM aluminum metalizer. Valve cover was masked and sprayed MM gunmetal metalizer. This is the 1993 Tamiya Supra kit. Kmb0319
OK, since this is back at the front of the Under Glass section, I’ll throw one in. Maybe not my best engine, but my biggest conversion. The MPC 72 GTO. This is the box art of what’s in the kit: After a lot of research, raiding the parts box, a couple aftermarket purchases and some surgery, here’s my engine:

Anglia105E
This is my 4.9 litre straight six cylinder Rolls-Royce engine, which I produced as a 3D print file and then printed by Shapeways. It is 1:24 scale and needs a few minor finishing touches before it goes into the car. David

I bought mine ten years ago for $75, and everyone I see on ebay now still holds that price, or very close to it.

StevenGuthmiller
I suppose I could add these. A 1968 Charger 440 that I used in a '69 Coronet. A 1962 Pontiac 421 that I dropped into a '63 Bonneville. And a slightly modified '66 GTO engine that's going into my current '67 Bonneville project. Belugawrx
Started the Fujimi Enthusiast Series Porsche 930 turbo I am building it for a buddy who had one in Mocha Brown, back in the day
W-409
Here is the engine for my current project, a '59 El Camino. It's an Injected Chevy 409. The biggest modifications are the intake from AMT '63 Corvette, injector stacks are made from some electric component parts and headers were scratchbuilt from plastic rod. Also the belt driven fuel pump and bracket, plus that alternator bracket are scratchbuilt. And of course it has some added detailing. TooOld
I've always enjoyed this thread so after being dormant for 4+ years I figured it was time to revive it again . I'll start it with some pics of my current project , a '71 Petty Roadrunner . Next is a 383 in the MPC '71 Roadrunner . The last one is a 283 in my '60 El Camino . I was sure I already posted it but after going thru 10 years of posts I couldn't find it so here it is (again?) .
StevenGuthmiller
Well, as long as we’re adding new stuff to old threads, I can’t pass this one up without posting a few shots of the Hemi in my ‘68 Coronet. My favorite engine and engine compartment to date. Steve
StevenGuthmiller
And while I’m at it, I just as well add a few shots of the 389 4 barrel going into my current ‘64 Pontiac Bonneville convertible project. Steve
