oldcarfan Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 We went to Dallas this weekend for AnimeFest which gave me an opportunity to slip away to Wild Bill's Hobby. I love this place!
Modlbldr Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 So, I picked up quite a few complete kits and a couple boxes of built ups this weekend for dirt cheap. The box of built ups I paid $5 for. Finally got a chance to dig through the stuff and came across a couple of interesting things. http:// This Camaro I am uncertain of the issue year and rarity. Any answers? http:// http:// http:// Then I came across this and got pretty excited! http:// http:// Pretty nice score, I thought. Later-
disabled modeler Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Id say you done really good on the score in my opinion....decent rebuilders there and may look like old issues. I wouldn't have passed on them ether..LOL.. Edited August 20, 2018 by disabled modeler
Modlbldr Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I forgot. I was also given this. It is complete. Been wanting one for years. http:// http:// Later-
om617 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Nice find there Tom. My guess on the Camaro is this judging by the trunk spoiler If not the rear bumper say USA1,1971 or 1972 Ambulance seem to be a nice fixer
ChrisBcritter Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Got some little stuff over the weekend: The damaged '63 Olds grille will give up its center bar for the '65 Olds Jetstar I conversion I'm doing (still need '71-'74 Eldorado headlights for it!), and the '64 Falcon custom rear panel I'm going to try to fit into a '61 Galaxie (very similar to the '61 Meteor rear panel). Also, thanks to Bob Dineen of the LMMCC, I got a small box of old leftover parts including some Revell Parts Pack goodies - a Corvette chassis and parts of two chrome motorcycles: most of the Triumph minus the front forks, handlebars and front wheel, and the front wheel, forks and exhaust from the Honda. Finally, huge thanks to Tom Piagari for casting wheelcovers and taillights for my '61 Plymouth and improved wheelcovers for my Jo-Han '61 Cadillac (the custom ones from the AMT '64 Mercury with crests from the too-flat Jo-Han covers added). Rob Hall Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Been a quiet August so far for me, until I got my August shipment from HLJ....a couple Fujimi vans, a couple new tool Hasegawas, some Aoshima reissues, a Revell VW, and the new Beemax Porsche 935 Kremer.

Snake45 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 1 hour ago, Modlbldr said: Thanks. Know anything about the Camaro? Later- Well, it's a non-RS, which is a rarity these days. The original AMT '70 annual came with molded-in vinyl top, so it's not that, unless the OB carefully sanded it off, which is of course a possibility. I'd have to do some research to tell you which of the early 2nd Gen AMTs and/or MPCs were non-RSs. All I can tell you for certain is that it's at least semi-rare and desirable.
Casey Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) 2 hours ago, Modlbldr said: Know anything about the Camaro? Looks like an annual AMT Camaro SS. The two-piece wrinkle wall pie crust slicks are an AMT thing, and comparing the underside to an MPC '72 Camaro, it's not an MPC kit: Edited August 20, 2018 by Casey
horsepower Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Don't know why I did it, probably because I didn't find anything else in the model category but I picked up the AMT Batmobile with the included skinny Bat dude for the cockpit at a flea market last weekend. Don't know what I'm going to do with it, but it's mine now and for $6 I think it was a fair deal. Edited August 20, 2018 by horsepower

And you payed next to nothing plus the Camaro and Uncertin T. GREAT FIND!
Modlbldr Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Thanks for the info guys! Nice to know the Camaro isn't the run of the mill. Now to find parts for it and the Uncertain T Later-
ewetwo Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Got these this weekend. The cabinet were a steal and now I can keep all my extra parts right under my work table. Not in a box in another room. Got the Oldsmobile at an estate sale. It has the motor painted red and started. But that's it. I always wonder why you usually only find one kit and not a dozen. The Gunze Sangyo models were an Esty purchase. .

Want to get rid of it? Later-
MPi-KM Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 AMT 1971 Mustang original issue, not mint but complete and it was only $15 on eBay. Also Revells 1973 issue '57 Chevy Nomad NIB

The possibilities are endless. Great hunting.
